Welcome To The 2009 Season!

Thanks for reading my simulation of the 2009 MLB Season. I'm making the commitment to complete a full-season cards-and-dice simulation for every game played last year. While the task at hand may seem absolutely enormous, I will be using automatic stat tracking thanks to the iScore application on my iPhone. This will be a multi-year project, a huge task, and I encourage all of the readers of this blog to comment on any game recap posts.

My free time fluctuates through out the year so some months will see more game action than others, but I will do my absolute best to keep this project rolling along for my readers.

Throughout the simulation, I will be using the actual starting lineups for each game. Roster moves will all be completed when they actually occured (thanks to Glenn Guzzo's season guide) and I will do my best to give ABs out as they were used.

Each blog post will recap one day of the season, focusing on the 'Game of the Day,' but listing results, box scores, and play-by-play sheets for every game played that day. Be sure to check out the generated boxes/scorecards at the bottom of each game recap!

Every Sunday (sim-time) I will post the MLB standings. On the first of every month, I'll try to post cumulative stats for every team.

I hope you enjoy what you see!
